How to Learn Countries and Capitals
A simple study method for learning country and capital pairs without memorizing long lists all at once.
Study by region
Learning capitals by continent is easier than memorizing the entire world list at once. Start with one region, then add another after you can recall most pairs.
Use active recall
Look at a country name, cover the capital, guess it, then check the answer. Repeat missed pairs more often than pairs you already know.
Mix maps and flags
Capitals become easier to remember when you connect them with a map location, flag, language, and neighboring countries.
